Week 27   1st-7th

Water & Feed vegetables as necessary

Pinch out Pumpkin growing tips

Earth up Fennel

Lift Shallots if ready

Week 28   8th-14th

Feed Asparagus Cabbage

Water Spring (salad) onions in very dry weather and keep rows clear of weeds.

Pick Peas as they become ready, saving some for next years seed.

Pick Cauliflower Potatoes.

Cut back Globe artichoke

Earth up Celery

Sow Rape and/or annual lupin to be used as a green manure

String up / bag Shallots

Week 29   15th-21st

Cut back Chives to almost ground level.

Pollinate Gourd Pumpkins

Keep Turnips well watered

Feed Leeks Sweet Corn

Sow Japanese Onions

Week 30   22nd-28th

Water Sweetcorn regularly during the flowering (tassle) period, and keep beds weed free.

Regularly pick runner beans to encourage further production

Continue sowing a successions of quick-growing crops, such as Lettuce and Radish. 

Cut down Peas to ground level if harvest is complete.

Sow Mustard to be used as a green manure 

Remove berries from Asparagus plants

Prepare bed for Cabbage

Gather Coriander seeds if ripe
