Divide two or three year old Rhubarb crowns with a sharp spade above soil level, if not done previously.

Week 51 - 15th to 21st

Force Rhubarb.

Week 52 - 22nd to 31st

Harvest Christmas vegetables as soon as possible if bad weather is forecast for the festive season.

Early harvesting is especially useful where deep-rooted crops such as trench Celery, Jerusalem Artichokes, Leeks, and Parsnips are growing in heavy ground.

Check roots and bulb onions in store and discard any that are showing signs of rot.

Use up vegetable marrows and pumpkins that have been stored under cover.

Merry Christmas
