Kill off moss and algal slime on paths and garden steps.

Collect leaves and place them in compost heap.

Get on with any urgent repair and replacement jobs on walls and fences.

Check that fence panels are in good order.

Erect soft fruit supports

Cut grass as necessary.

Protect newly planted conifers.
