Growing indoors or under glass in September

Overview ;

Temperatures, humidity and ventilation are probably the main items to be taken care of this month.

Extreme variations can cause various fungal problems on plant life.

Week No. 36 - 2nd to 8th

  • Check over potted alpine plants and tidy up as necessary.

  • If not already done, nip out the growing tip of tomato plants to encourage the crop to ripen before the end of the growing season.

Week No. 37 - 9th to 15th

  • Re-pot or pot on Sprekelia every two or three years.

Week No. 38 - 16th to 22nd

  • Keep a check on humidity, when it is too high, it can cause plants such as late Chrysanthemums to damp off.

  • If finished flowering; ease of the watering of Bougainvillea plants.

Week No. 39 - 23rd to 29th

  • Ensure indoor grape vines get maximum light.

  • Daily, place Poinsettia in a light free place from early evening until the following morning.
