Pieris

  Q
My potted pieris bush doesn’t look too healthy should I plant it in a border?

  A

Pieris require a lime-free soil to succeed, so unless your garden soil is acid, do not plant it in the border.

Try re-potting your plant into the next size pot using an ericaceous potting compost.

Failing that, remove the top 50mm(2”) of existing compost and refill with ericaceous potting compost.
