Hippeastrum

  Q
How should I look after my amaryllis bulb (Hippeastrum)?

  A

To encourage it to perform strongly again next year, feed it regularly until September with a liquid fertiliser and water it

whenever the soil seems dry.

Allow the foliage to die down and rest the bulb in an unheated room from autumn to late winter.

In February or March start watering and feeding again to encourage the bulb to make new leaves.
