Is it be possible to take cuttings from my Christmas cactus (Schlumbergera)?

Take stem sections in July/August

Select young stems consisting of about two / three segments, trimming each cutting at the base with a sharp knife.

Insert the cuttings around the edge of a pot filled with gritty compost, to about half their depth and firm them in.

Give the pots a good watering, then stand them in a heated propagator or cover the pot with a polythene bag.

Once the cuttings for have rooted, pot them individually in small pots.
