Moles have been at work on my lawn, how do I get rid of them?

I'm not advocating the killing of moles, but the only certain control is to trap the moles.

Purchase an approved trap/s from a garden centre or specialist shop.

Find the run by probing around a new hill using a cane, and when found, open up enough to insert the set trap.

Exclude light by turf or soil, leaving the tops of the trap above ground level.

It may take a bit of trial and error at first, so persevere and success should be assured.

It is probably best to set two or three traps each time to increase the chances of early success.

Moles pushing into the trap will be killed instantly
