Show Schedule

The following information is typical of what might be expected of a 'Show Schedule'and is meant as a guide only.

It is up to the organisers of 'The Show' to determine any specific rules and classes.

It is highly recommended that a system of rules is produced prior to the show for a number of reasons, some of which are;

1) It lets the exhibitor know what is required of him/her prior to making any entries.

2) It lets the Judges know what conditions to apply and what each class should contain.

3) It lets the 'Committee' prepare sufficient space, equipment and prize cards etc prior to the event.

4) It lets the general public know what each class represents.

Example;

1. The room will be open on x/y/z from x p.m. to y p.m. and on x/y/z from x a.m. to y a.m. for receiving exhibits.
Completed entry forms can be handed in at the registration desk in the room.

2. Entry cards will be provided for each exhibit and these should be placed face down underneath the corresponding exhibit, except containerised classes where rubber bands are to be used to fix the entry card to the jar or bottle.

3. Staging is to be completed by x am on x/y/z, when everyone must leave the room except the Show Secretary, Stewards, and Judges.

4. The decision of the Judges is final.

5. Where trophies are decided by the number of points, these are awarded as follows: 1st - 5 points; 2nd - 3 points; 3rd - 1 point.

6. Notice of objection against any Exhibit or Exhibitor must be made in writing to the Show Secretary before x p.m. on x/y/z, the first day of the show.

The objector must deposit 50p (or some such sum)with the Show Secretary.

This will be returned if the objection is valid.

7. All matters in dispute will be settled by the Show Secretary, whose decision is final and binding.

8. All exhibits must be the produce or work of the Exhibitor

The Show Secretary reserves the right to visit and inspect any Exhibitor's garden before or after the Show.

If this is required, any prize monies may be withheld until the Show Secretary is satisfied with this inspection.

9. Exhibits must not be moved from show tables before x p.m. on x/y/z.

This will be strictly enforced.

Exhibits left after x p.m. may be sold (if applicable)

10. Dishes and Vases will be provided by the Show Secretary.

The Show Secretary will not be responsible for the exhibitor's property, but will take ensure every care is taken to avoid loss or damage.

11. Prize monies will be paid out on x/y/z, between x p.m. and y p.m.

Prize money not claimed at the show can be obtained from a/b/c, after a/b/c.

Prize money not claimed by a/b/c will be donated to charity.

12. In the event of not more than three entries in any one class, prizes shall be left to the Judge's discretion.

13. There will be an Entry Fee of xp per entry per class.
