Gypsophila
Common name; Baby's breath

A hardy annual that grows to around 600mm (24") high and flowers from early June until October.

They prefer a sunny position, in any well-drained alkaline garden soil.

They also make a good hanging basket or container subject

Week 15; Sow seeds in pots/trays of seed compost and germinate at 13°C (55°F)

They should take about five or six days to germinate.

Week 17; Prick out the seedlings into cell trays or boxes of potting compost, leave for a few days at a minimum temperature of 10°C (50°F) then place in a frost free cold frame until planting out time.

Week 21; Plant out 250-300mm apart when all fear of frost has passed.
