A nodal cutting is a stem cutting that has been cut above and below a node/leaf joint.
alternatively; with plants that produce pairs of leaves up the stem as opposed to staggered, a double nodal cutting can be taken by slicing vertically up the stem, thus producing two cuttings as can be seen here;
This is a useful technique if 'cutting material' is in short supply, i.e. it triples the amount of cuttings that can be taken at each cut.
Treat as a softwood cutting.
