A tender deciduous evergreen trailing / climbing perennial.

It can grow to around 2.5 m (8ft) and is often grown as an annual in the UK.

Best suited to well drained soil in sun or partial shade, it can also be used as a container plant.

The flowers that appear in summer are not dissimilar to those of antirrhinum and come in a variety of colours.

Remove spent flowers and seed pods to prolong flowering.

Week 6; Sow seed in pots / trays of seed compost and germinate at a temperature of 21°-26°C (70°-80°F)

Germination should take around 10-14 days

Week 9; Prick out into 70mm (3”) pots of potting compost and gradually harden off in a cold frame until planting out time.

Week 20; Plant out against a wall or trellis.
